Cub Winter Camp

Cub winter camp has become a bit of tradition, this weekend sees our Cubs stay in dormitories and join with other cub packs for some scouting fun and wintery activities.

This year, we had a slightly smaller event as space at the campsite was limited. Winter camps, give our members a chance to explore the forest and take part in some fun activities. This year we had a slightly wet start, with Saturday mourning rain showers. So tent pitching practice was done in our indoor space followed by a session on the sites, bouldering wall. With our Beavers joining us for the day, and having there own fun and games.

After lunch the weather cleared up and the Cubs got to have some fun outside, exploring the woods, some nature arts, and cooking some marshmallows on the fire.

Before dinner we had some games and fun while our cooks prepared our meal. Dinner time was a chance for our Beavers and Cubs to join together, with a guest visit from Bill our local ADC Cubs (Program Team), who is always welcome and joined us for dinner.

Once dinner was finished the Cubs and Beavers settled down for a movie night, with popcorn to accompany it. Sunday morning was a simple enough, day with breakfast followed by packing kit and games, before collection at midday.

Well done to all those Cubs that attended, and we are looking forward to the next camp and the Scout Winter camp coming in the new year.
