Beavers 2 Duxford

Our Beaver section recently, had an exciting day out. Visiting the famous Duxford Museum, this was a great opportunity for our younger section to learn about aviation and be around this amazing collection of restored aircraft.

We got to see a hugh variety ranging from world war 2 iconic aircraft to modern day jets. With many seeing aircraft this time for the first time, this was a really good introduction to aviation for our younger members.

During the day we setup a challenge for the Beavers, which helpt them find there way around the site (with a bit of leader help obviously). Also we aimed to cover the aviation skills badge for there age group.

This was a really nice day out, and the weather although a bit cold stayed dry and was great for exploring the museum.

We are looking forward to taking our youngest section on more adventures in 2024.
